Google unveils its new downtown Austin offices
Three city-view terraces. Gourmet cafeterias that serve complimentary
breakfast, lunch and dinner. A “speakeasy” secret hangout with floor-to-ceiling
bookshelves, a bar, couches and a piano. Welcome to Google’s new downtown
Austin offices. The 300,000-square foot space currently holds more than
450 employees. Two additional floors are under construction and are expected to
open next year. When completed Google will occupy 10 floors in the glass
high-rise at 500 W. Second St.
