Austin earns No. 2 ranking on best place for jobs
A prominent economic forecaster is again calling attention to the workforce and population growth potential of Austin. Joel Kotkin, a fellow in urban studies at Southern California's Chapman University, and Michael Shires, a professor at Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, wrote in Forbes that Austin is the No. 2 city in the country to find a job — right behind Dallas.
