PreFix - Own your home, not its problems
One of the concerns first-time home buyers have is the maintenance of the property since they usually have never had to do this and don’t know how much it costs. These concerns even happen with experienced homeowners who aren’t well versed in home repairs. PreFix is a local company that can make semi-annual 30-point preventive maintenance service on all home appliances, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems at a small monthly fee and copay when used. I cannot vouch for PreFix since I’ve never used them, but the concept may make sense for many homeowners. This is different from a home warranty that covers a limited number of items that they will repair or replace, if needed. Put these two ideas together and a homeowner can transfer the concerns for most home repairs for a monthly fee.
