Here are the November/2019 MLS single-family statistics for Austin, TX:
Our very strong finish to 2019 for Austin home sales continued in November with our 3rd month in a row of all-green categories and our 3rd month of 4 dark greens (10%+ positive trending)!! This was also our best November in 6 years! Great news for home sellers...not so great for home buyers trying to find the right home with the extremely low home inventory in Austin. Keep in mind that the numbers above compare one month of the year with the same month of the previous year which are like-times of the selling season. This prevents comparing one of the highest sales months like July with January (typically our slowest month). To give you an even better picture of just how strong last month was, look at the previous 2 Novembers, below. Only 3 green categories in each one of them and they were light green (0-9% positive trending) at that! Last month was clearly a very strong November for us.
In addition to November’s great numbers, our Austin real estate market is heading to another record-breaking year…we are only 300 home sales shy of last year’s total and we still have December’s numbers to count! Considering the past 3 Decembers averaged 2,500 sales, we will clearly have a new record for home sales in Austin this year.
