Austin shines bright on yet another list of top-performing cities. A day after the Wall Street Journal crowned Austin as the No. 1 job market, the Milken Institute ranked the city No. 3 in its annual Best-Performing Cities report — just like it did last year. Milken's index ranks cities on a variety of metrics, including jobs, wages, salaries and technology output. It's designed to help both the public and private sectors evaluate and compare cities throughout the nation, according to an announcement.
