This is a great recap of just how strong our market is given by the CEO of one of our local title companies. He highlights the conditions, statistics and projections of our Austin real estate market. One interesting point he brought up was the recent growth of new subdivisions being built locally to be used as rental houses only, no owner-occupied properties (see more here: Expansion for Single-Family Built-for-Rent Construction). These neighborhoods, built by some of our well-known national builders, threaten to prevent even more inventory from being available to home buyers...certainly NOT something we need right now!
