Williamson County home sales prices drop 12% from 2022 The gist: While the median taxable value of homes in Williamson County rose around 10% year over year, the median sales valuation of homes dropped about 12%. On March 31, county staff mailed appraisal notices to 238,244 homes throughout Williamson County. The significance: From 2019 (last pre-Covid year) thru 2022 (last year Covid affected our home prices), the average Austin metro home went up from $317,816 to $509,388 (+$191,572 or 60%). Giving up 12% from last year’s price still leaves homeowners up by 48%, or 16%/year which still represents an incredible increase.
